Hyderabad: Permissions for construction of buildings and layouts would be given online in Andhra Pradesh, Municipal Administration Minister P.Narayana announced here on Sunday.

At a review meeting with town and country planning officials, he said the department would be equipped with GPS solutions to quickly process the applications and ensure transparency in giving approvals. He directed the officials to expedite processing of applications and granting of approvals. He wanted all the pending applications to be cleared in a week.

Mr. Narayana said there should be no scope for corruption and warned of stringent action if anybody was found guilty.

The aim was to provide improved and transparent services to the people. He said the government would not hesitate to take action as per law on the complaints received from citizens.
