VISAKHAPATNAM: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (Credai) Vizag Zone has announced that the builders in the Port City have decided to postpone the proposed strike aimed at stopping all construction activity temporarily.

Credai Vizag Zone had intended to stop all construction activities from September 21 to protest the non-availability of sand. However, the builders have decided to postpone the strike following assurance given by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the collector's conference held in Vijayawada recently.

However, Credai has decided to form a joint action committee of all associations related to the construction industry to overcome the shortage of sand.

Credai along with Builders Association of India, Vizagapatnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GVMC Contractors Association, Vuda Contractors, AP Building and Constructions Workers Union and Quarry Lorry Welfare Association will be part of the joint action committee.
