HYDERABAD: The GHMC standing committee on Wednesday cleared a proposal to pay compensation to several property owners whose land or buildings were acquired for various civic developmental projects including widening of roads.

The standing committee chaired by mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain also approved issuance of 'No Objection Certificates' (NOCs) to QQSUDA to dismantle existing community hall and reconstruct it with G+1 floor at Malladiki Taleem in the Shalibanda division and Pardhi Wada Kunta Yadagar Hussain, Puranapul division. An administrative sanction of Rs 4.31 crore was given the nod for widening the road between Chanchalguda Junction and Madanapet graveyard Via Saidabad ACP Office.

The panel approved payment of compensation to the owner of a property (104.76 sq yards) acquired for the proposed road widening between Road No 2, Banjara Hills and KBR Park. It also accorded administrative sanction for Rs 1.36 crore budget for shifting of a 33-KV line from Botanical Garden to Old Bombay road and Rs 4.36 crore for widening road between NFC culvert and HCL gate (Ashok Nagar road) in Kapra circle. In another resolution, the standing committee approved administrative sanction for Rs 3.80 crore for road widening between Botanical Gardens and Old Bombay road via Masjeed Banda village and construction of boundary wall. It gave the green signal to sanction Rs 1.96 crore for construction of a four-storied building for meeting hall and additional accommodation at open place on the premises of City Management Training Center on Road No.12, Banjara Hills.

Structural compensation would also be paid to 41 owners whose properties were affected due to road widening between Ek Minar Masjid Junction and Bazarghat Junction via Yousufian Dargha Junction. Sanction has also been given for paying compensation to owners of structures affected under road widening between Zohra Bi Dargah and DRDL. Construction of an auditorium in the open land belonging to Housing Board at Saidabad Colony and construction of a bridge across the nala between Prashanth Nagar and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Kukatpally circle were also given sanction.
