GHAZIABAD: People will no longer have to visit the Ghaziabad Development Authority office, be it for making payments, applying for or getting clearances for land. The GDA website, launched on Wednesday, will now cater to all possible requirements of the people.
GDA chairman Santosh Yadav said, "Personal computers, smartphones and cyber cafes have digitally connected a huge chunk of this country?s population. Now, people can find all projects of the GDA online and can apply for the same on the internet. Those who are not net savvy can make payments for all GDA project at any bank in the country. Details of the allotments and payments are available on the GDA website."
Yadav said, "Now, nobody from this city or other cities will have to come to the GDA office. Besides, with all our records computerized, now, there will be little room for corruption. "This is the first time a non-industrial development authority has gone completely online in Uttar Pradesh," he added.
