NOIDA: A day after the RWA of Emerald Court asked buyers of the twin towers to quit the project, several of them tore into the RWA office bearers. Buyers blamed the RWA for playing with the sentiments of buyers.

Buyers maintain that the high court should have allowed them to present their grievances as they have suffered the heaviest losses in the entire episode.

U B S Teotia, president, RWA Emerald Court, on Monday had told the flat buyers to quit the project after taking the money with interest.

“I have no idea on what ground the court rejected the builder plea. I had checked all approvals with the Noida Authority including the report of IIT Roorkee before investing my hard-earned money. I am on the brink of ending my life along with my family if I do not get my flat,” said D K Sharma, a buyer of a flat in Emerald Court twin towers.

The Allahabad high court had ordered the Noida Authority to demolish the two 40-storey residential towers of Supertech’s Emerald Court in Noida’s Sector 93A for flouting building norms on April 11, 2014. Authority officials on Tuesday sealed the project.

“Teotia and his team have no right to talk like this. We will move the Supreme Court for relief. We have put in our hard earned money and will fight till the end,” said Aman Singh, another buyer.

No hike in circle rates in Delhi till poll-end
Apr 16, 2014
DELHI: At a time when there is a slump in the real estate market, any hike between 20% and 50% in the circle rates for property registration in Delhi – as is likely to be proposed – may for the first time see the circle rate and market rate become equal in areas like unauthorized regularized colonies and new settlements in Narela and Bawana. The black component in transactions will then be nil. And this may further dampen sentiments and lead to stagnation in sales, say experts.
