DELHI: Green practices make the whole process of urbanisation more sustainable, ecologically viable and ultimately beautify the Earth.

Rapid urbanisation means need for vast infrastructure, which also means growing pressure on the natural resources and ecology of Earth. This affects our planet and causes climatic changes. It is the high time we think, learn and execute the practices that make the real estate sector in India sustainable and ecologically viable, without affecting the beauty of the planet Earth.

Green practices are the most effective way to achieve the sustainable model of growth for the real estate sector across the world. Green measures implemented in any project help in forming a structure that is energy efficient, dependent of natural and renewable energy, close to the nature, protected from natural calamities and sustainable to the people and environment surrounding it.

The need for green practices has now been felt by the major realty companies across the world and India is one of them. Indian realty companies, especially the innovative developers like Earth Group, have already started implementing green practices in most of their projects. The best part is that such measures are attracting appreciation of the end users of such properties, further stimulating the demand for green buildings.

In its twelfth five year plan, the Indian government strives to adopt the sustainable model of urbanisation which actually is the part of green practices. The idea is to implement green practices in the Master Plan of metro cities, including emerging the Tier-II and Tier-III cities. This will help in making the already realty rich destinations like Delhi NCR and the surrounding areas greener.

Overall, green practices are the need of the hour as they make the process of urbanisation more sustainable, ecologically viable and help us in beautify our living spaces. It is the responsibility of the builders to invent and adopt newer methods of accepting green practices so that not just the end users but the whole environment is benefitted. Earth Group has already joined the drive along with some of the major realty companies. The need is for more and more to join the green drive.
