GURGAON: Around 200 residents of sectors 55 and 56 have complained about anomalies in the house tax notice served to them. On Saturday, they met the MCG's zonal taxation officer and highlighted that the property size in the notice was higher than the size of their houses.

"All 200 residents pointed out that there was atleast one mistake in each notice. Property size was a common error," said Mahesh Daima, councillor, ward-32. Tax officials assured they would soon correct the anamoly in their records. The MCG councillors suggested that residents be exempt from paying property tax for the period 2008-2011 as MCG elections were held in 2011 only.
