DELHI: The newest industrial pocket of IMT Manesar – Phase V – is now being readied for fresh development activity lined up for the coming years. The industry authority, HSIIDC, has recently put together a road layout plan for this newly acquired development land, which will connect parts of Phase V with the rest of the township.
Officials said that the overall project would include design and construction of a road network covering large swathes of Phase V, and that the total estimated cost for the project would be around Rs 8 crore. “We have invited tenders from private agencies for this project. The pre-bid meeting will be held on May 27 at our Manesar headquarters,” said an HSIIDC official. The road-works programme marks the beginning of what may turn out to be a long-term campaign to make IMT’s Phase V equipped enough to accommodate large industrial and commercial realty projects. According to reports, around 952 acres of land is earmarked for development in Manesar’s Phase V, while Phase VI has more than 3,300 acres of land awaiting inclusion in the rapidly expanding industrial township.
“In Phase V, where development has not yet begun, the new road network might also be connected to the residential projects around these parts. I think this will be a good move, and will attract new investment,” said Manoj Tyagi of the IMT Industrial Association.
