Tata Housing gold vouchers for buying homes in womens' name

DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Tata Housing today announced an offer of gold vouchers worth Rs 49,000 to buyers who book flats in the name of women in its Rs 600 crore project in Bhubaneswar.

Project 'Ariana' is spread over 12 acre and apartments are priced in the range of Rs 33-70 lakhs.

"Ariana, a premium residential project is offering gold vouchers worth Rs 49,000 from 1st to 15th February. The 'Surprise Her' offer will be for all buyers who register their apartments in the name of their wives, mothers and sisters," Tata Housing said in a statement.

According to sources, the company would develop 1,100 units in this project at a cost of about Rs 600 crore.

"Men have controlled the home ownership and registration in most of the tier 1 and 2 cities across the country for quite some time now.

"Stemming from the consciousness to build a society of equals for both men and women in India, Tata Housing is happy to associate with the Power of 49. By way of association, Tata Housing aims to garner its support towards women; to be a key buyer and not just an influencer," Tata Housing Head Marketing Rajeeb Dash said.

Established in 1984, Tata Housing is a closely held public limited company and a subsidiary of Tata Sons Ltd, which holds 99.86 per cent of stake in the company.

Tata Housing has 70 million sq ft under various stages of planning and execution and an additional 19 million sq ft in the pipeline.

It has presence in Mumbai, Lonavala, Talegaon, Pune, Ahmedabad Goa, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. The company is now in the process of expanding its footprints to other parts of India across tier I and II cities.

Tata Housing has also ventured into foreign markets such as Maldives and is actively exploring other markets including Sri Lanka and other South Asian countries.
