AHMEDABAD: Since the last few years, Ahmedabad’s real estate market is growing at a very fast pace, as new areas are being augmented with infrastructure projects and adequate basic facilities. Another reason for such growth is that the city enjoys close proximity to Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. Further, due to factors like urbanisation, tier-II cities like Ahmedabad, have become major realty destinations of late. As a result, many localities are expanding and new areas on the outskirts of the city are gaining popularity among house hunters.

Naroda

Call it the industrial hub of the city or the destination for the inking of most of the commercial deals of Ahmedabad, Naroda is eminent for the industrial estates, which have made this area their home. Adding to it, in past few years, many affordable residential schemes are also coming up in the area. This new found interest of the realtors in the area might work as a boon to the employees of GIDC as they will now be able to find their dream homes at affordable prices and without being required to travel large distances for work.

Shilaj Gam

Another place which has caught the fancy of the realty developers of the city is the Shilaj Gam. Like many other recently developed areas, this village was a name least heard of and its tryst with fame has been a very recent phenomenon. However, one will hardly believe this fact if one gets to know the amount of realty development that is happening in and around the area. Be it residential buildings or individual bungalows or even offices for commercial purposes, the area has seen it all and seems to have caught the fancy of the elitist of the elite, who are not taking a step back in grabbing the new properties which are coming up in the area.

Overall, Ahmedabad city has transformed a lot over the years. From areas that have delivered more than they promised to localities that have recently caught the realtor’s eye, Ahmedabad – the mega city – is on a realty spree.
