Bangalore: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday alleged that the State government, which has come under the scanner over the denotification of land meant for Arkavathy Layout, was trying to tamper with the rights of records by divesting ownership from the Bangalore Development Authority.

Mr. Shettar alleged that the government, despite ordering a judicial probe into the alleged illegal de-notification scam, had instructed revenue officials to incorporate changes into the revenue records, so as to divest ownership from the BDA.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Mr. Shettar, has demanded a CBI probe into the issue.
