Puravankara profit down 8 per cent

BANGALORE: Real estate firm Puravankara Projects Ltd has posted a profit of Rs 46 crore for the second quarter of 2013-14, down 8.18 per cent from Rs 50.1 crore in the previous year period.

Revenues were up 9.23 per cent at Rs 298.2 crore (Rs 273 crore). EPS stood at Rs 1.94 (Rs 2.35).

During the quarter, the area sold by the company increased 21 per cent to 0.82 million sq ft (0.68 million sq ft). The sale value was up 47 per cent at Rs 358.2 crore (Rs 243.1 crore). Sales realisation for ongoing projects stood at Rs 5,118 per sq ft, marking an increase of 25 per cent.

Provident Housing Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Puravankara, registered an increase of 22 per cent in sales realisation, with the realisation of ongoing projects at Rs 3,697 per sq ft.
