INDORE: Construction of proposed Software Technology Park at Pardeshipura and new office building of RTO at Bypass will begin soon. Indore Development Authority (IDA) board on Thursday has awarded the contract for the project to a company.

Software Technology Park, to be constructed at Electronic Complex at Pardeshipura, is estimated to cost Rs 22.99 crore. IDA CEO Deepak Singh said the company has been awarded the contract with a rider that rates will be first approved by Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation (MPSEDC). The state government is constructing a plug-and-play IT Park for companies over the land of MPSEDC at Pardeshipura. This will be the second IT Park in the city after the one on Ring Road.

The RTO office will shift to the new building at Mundla village on bypass and a contract for this was given on Thursday. It will cost Rs 8.39 crore. In another important development, IDA has decided to go ahead with its long-pending scheme number 171 which had got stuck due to the inability of the IDA to acquire land for the project. Under this IDA scheme land of 8 housing societies were also coming and all these societies were opposing the scheme. To sort out the issue, the IDA had formed a committee.

Singh said IDA would take over eight housing societies on certain conditions.

He said department of cooperative society will prepare a list on the basis of which the IDA will allot land to the members. The IDA will have agreement with land owners in which fifty percent of the developed land will be given to land owner and remaining fifty per cent land will remain with the IDA.
