MUMBAI: The Nerul police has arrested a 33-year-old man for the murder of a real estate agent who had been found dead on April 5. The man allegedly committed the crime over delay in payment for his work.
Keshav Beidur, who lived in Laxmi Niwas CHS, was found in his flat with his head smashed and a blood-stained cement block next to him.
According to the police, they soon learnt that the accused Jehangir Gazi had been missing and that he used to double up as a help in Beidur’s home. The police learnt about his location at Nerul station from where he was apprehended.
“Gazi had gone to Beidur to ask for his payment and a drunk Beidur began abusing him, which infuriated Gazi,” said senior police inspector Sangeeta Alphonso of Nerul police station.
