BHUBANESWAR: : The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court of Baleswar on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of Artha Tatwa (AT) Group CMD Pradeep Sethi and granted permission to the Sahadevkhunta police to take him on remand.
The Sahadevkhunta police would quiz Sethi about duping investors of around Rs 15 crore. The police had earlier requested the SDJM court for Sethi’s remand which was granted by the court. They would also interrogate Sethi about his company’s schemes, collections and investments. The
remand period would be completed on July 4, police sources said.
The police had brought Sethi along with his company’s director Manoj Pattnaik to Baleswar on Thursday evening in connection with the most controversial chit fund scam. The investors had lodged complaints against Sethi at the Sahadevkhunta police station.
