BHUBANESWAR: Demanding a CBI probe into the multi-crore chit fund scam, Congress on Wednesday staged demonstrations in all 30 districts.

The party also demanded a new legislation to ban chit fund operations in the state.

OPCC president Jayadev Jena, said, "The BJD government is using delaying tactics by ordering a judicial probe into the chit fund scam to save its ministers and MLAs, who have links with the chit fund company owners."
