Bhubaneswar: A five-day property exhibition, Home and Decor, showcasing housing properties by members of Real Estate Developers Association of Odisha (REDA) started at Janata Maidan here on Saturday.

A good mix of under-construction and ready-to-move-in properties are on display in around 200 stalls. "The viewers can choose from a range of both affordable and high-end properties at different locations in the city," said REDA president Kanital Patel. Decent 2BHK and 3 BHK flats are available at a lucrative price, he said.

The main thrust of organizing such an event is to inform visitors about the availability of home at different locations at different values, modern facilities and amenities offered by the developers and loan offers by banks, Patel said.

Coinciding with the property expo, a 10-day trade fair, India International Mega Trade Fair, also started at the same venue. The special attraction of the fair includes designer lamps from Turkey, garments from Pakistan, handicrafts from Ghana and Egypt, jewellery from Thailand and Myanmar and dry fruits from Afghanistan. Around 550 stalls in 12 air-conditioned pavilions have over 1,000 varieties of products on offer. The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and GS Marketing Associates are organising the trade fair.
