BHUBANESWAR: India is geared up to face new challenges of doubling the urban land footprint and urban population. The challenge now is to build the future urban India, which is ecologically and economically sustainable by implementing Green Building.
CII-IGBC’s Green Building rating systems launched since 2007 have made rapid strides in the Green Building sector. These rating systems have been successfully applied in India in as many as 2,089 buildings till date with a footprint of 1.44 billion sqft.
Over 200 architects and engineers will attend a training programme on Green Buildings for two days on Monday and Tuesday at Sandy’s Tower, Jayadev Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Vice-Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority Vishal K Dev at 10.30 am on Monday.
The event is supported by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (Credai) and Real Estate Developers Association (REDA) while the CII Odisha Chapter is providing all technical support.
