Kanpur Development Authority asks defaulters to clear dues

KANPUR: In a final warning to allottees of World Bank Colony, the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) has asked them to deposit arrears by Saturday failing which the allotment would be cancelled.

Vice-Chairman, KDA, Jayshree Bhoj recently directed the officials to cancel the allotments if arrears were not cleared by the allottees. Deputy secretary of KDA Mayank Yadav said that V-C ordered stern action against the defaulters.

He further said that allottees in around 250 colonies were yet to clear their dues. KDA had has already published notices and news in newpapers and served ultimatum. Now final ultimatum has been served and if any defaulter failed to pay the arrears then his allotment would be cancelled, he added.

The deputy secretary said that 85 commercial plots of the world bank colony have been occupied by 113 illegal occupiers. The vice-chairman has also ordered their eviction. Yadav further said that illegal occupiers would be accommodated in Kanshi Ram Awas Yojana.
