CHENNAI: After a dull year, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) was positive that the eighth edition of FAIRPRO, a popular residential property show in the state, would help restore the fortune of property developers.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, Ajit Kumar Chordia, president, CREDAI, Chennai, said that at the recently concluded ‘Home Loan Mela’ around 300 apartments were up for sale for which Rs 116 crores in loans were sanctioned by leading banks and financial institutions. This was a precursor to the property expo. During the FAIRPRO held last year, there was business worth Rs 170 crores. “This year we expect it to be around Rs 200 crores,” said Chordia.
