NEW DELHI: Around 3,000 people have decided to return the DDA flats allotted to them in the 2014 draw. Several allottees were dissatisfied with the size and type of LIG flats offered to them. They alleged that the flats were similar to those offered under the EWS category.
DDA had said thousands of flats offered in Rohini and Dwarka were actually meant for the EWS category but were upgraded by using superior fittings and marbles. No other scheme had seen surrender of such a huge number of flats, said sources.
Meanwhile, some successful allottees have not been able to apply for their flats as DDA's demand letters are yet to reach them, said senior officials.
