GHAZIABAD: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) on Thursday issued notices to 77 real-estate projects in the city, asking their developers to undertake construction work in a way that released the minimum amount of dust and pollution to the environment.

The notices were issued following National Green Tribunal's order on the same.

The projects that have been issued notices are located across Ghaziabad, including in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Mohan Nagar, NH-24 and Raj Nagar Extension.

"We have issued notices to the builders, giving them clear directions to follow NGT guidelines and ensure that their construction does not lead to dust pollution. Flouting these norms in future will invite stern action from the development authority. Owners of under-construction buildings on independent plots in the city will also have to adhere to the NGT norms," said GDA secretary Ravindra Godbole.

The authority has directed officers-in-charge of all eight city zones to ensure the guidelines are followed in letter and spirit.
