AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to build 9,959 houses for the weaker sections of the city. DELHI: The Noida Authority is likely to launch its much-awaited scheme for allotting 866 flats in the first week of December. Officials said that as part of the scheme, there will be 41 flats for middle-income group (MIG), 47 for high-income group (HIG), 143 for low-income group (LIG), 150 for economic weaker sections (EWS) and 485 for Shramik Kunj categories. MUMBAI: Mhada may redevelop its humungous Motilal Nagar Housing Colony in Goregaon (W) on its own. The plan was discussed during a Mhada meeting on October 15. Spread over 125 acre, the colony comprises 3,700 ground-level tenements built by Mhada three decades ago. Each tenement, about 180 sq ft, was first given on rent and then subsequently sold for under Rs 50,000 in the early 1980s.
