BHUBANESWAR: The government has taken possession of 12 acre of chit fund firm Safex Infra India Private Limited in Ganjam district. While 4.446 acre at Ranajhali mouza under Purushottampur tehsil was taken into possession on Saturday, the government acquired 1.613 acre and 6.386 acre at Bada Kharida and Rajapaur mouza respectively on Friday. "We attached the lands with the direction of Cuttack ADM," said tahasildar, (Purushottampur) A K Mallick.
The ADM has been appointed as the competent authority to acquire lands of controversial chit fund companies under the Odisha Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishment) Act, 2013. The government had taken into possession of 12 acreof Artha Tatwa Group and Golden Land Private Limited last week.
