Tiruchirapalli: A three-day housing expo, Fairpro 2015, organised by Confederation of Real Estate Developer’s Association of India (CREDAI), got underway in the city on Friday offering a range of choices for people looking to buy houses and individual villas. A number of apartment promoters, banking and financing institutions besides the housing wing of the Life Insurance Corporation of India have put up stalls to explain their services and concessions offered to visitors during the exhibition period.
“The expo, organised by the CREDAI, has been helping us to reach out to prospective customers,” says S. Mohan, Managing Partner, Mitha Construction and Development. The expo also provides a lot of opportunity for the customers to compare the rates offered by various builders in the same area and different builders in various areas in the city.
The expo caters to the needs of customers of different economic groups: while individual houses have been constructed on the outskirts of the city such as Valadi and Nochiyam, apartments are also available in Woraiyur area, says R.Dhulaksivarnam, marketing manager, Navaneetha Property Developers.
T.V.Murali, president of Tiruchi Chapter of CREDAI, said that 40 builders with 100 projects are participating in the expo. Projects on offer include apartments and houses in the price range of Rs.20 lakh to Rs.3 crore.
The CREDAI aims at contributing its mite towards the Central government’s goal of providing ‘Housing for all by 2022’, he said. On-the-spot scrutiny of applications for customers and affordable rate of interest by banks on housing loans were other advantages, he added.
Earlier, P.Sivakumar, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, released a guide providing the details of the expo and the first copy was received by N.Parthasarathy, vice-president (Cluster Head) of Axis Bank. M.Anand, chairman of the ‘Fairpro’ said that expo has been organised to showcase quality housing projects in the city.
