NAVI MUMBAI: City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) has earmarked over 500 plots for building working women's hostels, day care centres for children, schools, old-age homes and hospitals in the New Year.
Cidco will be seeking applications in phases for 21 plots in the above-mentioned categories.
MD Sanjay Bhatia said, "There will be online applications and a selection process, as per the government approved guidelines. The social facility plots will greatly help the citizens to avail a wide range of amenities."
Most of the plots are in the southern part of the city (Cidco areas), as the NMMC jurisdiction in the north is already developed and plots have been allotted for various purposes such as markets, parking, said sources.
A large number of plots have been earmarked in the PAP areas under the 12.5% compensation scheme of land acquisition while the others are in the nodal areas.
