NOIDA: The Greater Noida Authority will find developed plots to compensate farmers closest to their villages.

Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority ACEO Harish Verma said, "We will start working out the plots. While we were offering 6% land to some farmers, we will give 10% land, and while we will look for available plots, we will try and provide the land to the farmers within their own villages or in areas closest to it."

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a petition by the Authority against an Allahabad high court order asking it to give land-losers devloped land with a size that was 10% the quantum of land acquired from them. The Authority accepted the high court's order on additional compensation.
