NEW DELHI: A New Delhi district consumer forum has asked a developer to pay two customers from Janakpuri a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for failing to deliver a plot booked by them.

They had booked the plot through U-turn Housing and paid installements only to find out later that the developer had no plots to sell. The plot was offered in Silver City, Diggi Road, Jaipur but no allotment letter was issued even after the complainants issued three cheques. "The opposition party had in fact no plots for sale and collected money on false advertisement and assurances," said the court.
