Mumbai: BMC made a presentation on the draft DP before housing experts, NGOs and others, where experts said the BMC decision to hike floor space index will not serve any purpose in scaling down housing prices.

Urban planning expert Chandrashekhar Prabhu said, "The idea that demand will fall once supply rises will not apply to Mumbai's real estate problem. In the past, FSI has been raised as much as 27 times, but there has been no drop in prices. Instead, they have only increased."
