HYDERABAD: The GHMC is planning to introduce a single challan system for granting building permissions in the city. This was revealed during a meeting with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) on Monday. GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar asked the chief city planner to look into the viability of a single challan system for building permissions.
CREDAI representatives pledged their support to GHMC in making Hyderabad a slum-free city. The realtors also requested Somesh to waive off parking fees on a few roads. Saying that some complexes are charging as much as Rs 60 per hour, he promised to look into the issue. The realtors also promised their support in maintaining a clean city by including solid waste management proposals into their corporate social responsibility activities.
