Greater Noida Authority cancels allotment of 1,200 plots

DELHI: The Greater Noida Authority cancelled allotments of around 1,200 plots on October 1 on account of non-payment of pending dues by their owners. These include 1,173 residential plots in different sectors of the city. Authority officials informed that allotments of 25 industrial plots and 12 institutional plots have also been cancelled.
Abadi land lease starts in Greater Noida

DELHI: Greater Noida Authority has begun leasing back abadi land to farmers of 39 villages who had been disgruntled over acquisition for industrial development of the area. In the first phase, the Authority has handed back 82,000 sqm of abadi land to 37 farmers of Bisrakh village.
Nationalized banks return to fund Noida Extension projects

DELHI: The Greater Noida Authority is upbeat that the Greater Noida (West) region, formerly Noida Extension, is slowly being removed from the blacklist of banks and they have started showing interest in backing buyers who want to invest in projects in the region. After the land row in 2011, banks had stopped financing such projects due to fears of land acquisition being quashed by the courts.
Noida circle rates to go up, 17-35 per cent hike proposed

Buying land or a house in Noida, Greater Noida or along the Yamuna Expressway may soon get costlier as the stamp and registry department has proposed to increase the circle rates by up to 35%. This proposal comes within days of the three development authorities hiking property rates by up to 30% after their board meeting on Saturday.
