AMBALA: Eight persons, including a former deputy principal secretary to former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, have been booked for allegedly getting the allotment of multiple plots sold by HUDA under reserved categories in Ambala.
The case was registered at Baldev Nagar police station on Thursday after an inquiry following a complaint by Kamlpreet Kaur, a former HUDA estate officer in Ambala. Those who have been booked in the case are Gyan Singh, former deputy principal secretary to Hooda, Tara Chand, Balraj, Dharampal, Mukesh, Harvinder, Sher Singh and Sarju.
"The accused have been found involved in procuring multiple plots of HUDA under reserve categories, including freedom fighters' quota. They got the plots on the basis of forged documents, which have been recovered by the police," said a police official.
