BERHAMPUR:  Land records would be computerised and all the land related cases  digitised in 10 Southern Odisha districts. This was informed by Additional Chief Secretary Dr Taradatt during a meeting of Collectors of those districts here on Saturday.

Taradatt asked the Collectors to stress on speedy settlement of record of rights (RoR) cases and other land disputes in their respective districts. Besides, he asked them to evict the encroachers from the Government land in their jurisdiction and get back the land of tribals from possession of non-tribals. During the meeting, the Collectors were told to settle the pending mutation cases of 2012-13 fiscal at the earliest.

Sources said, out of 1,92,559 mutation cases, 1,52,516 cases were settled in 10 districts. In 2013-14, against the target of 1,64,546 cases, 1,34,279 were settled. During 2014-15, a target was fixed to settle 90,584 cases and till date 61,715 cases have been settled.
