NOIDA: In a major crackdown against flouting of land use norms, the Noida Authority on Wednesday cancelled the lease deeds of nine properties.
Officials said the owners of nine properties in blocks A, B and C in Sector 105 have been slapped with lease deed cancellation orders for using their premises for commercial purpose. These allottees were earlier asked to stop all commercial activity on their premises.
"We had warned these property owners to stop all commercial activity on their residential plots. This is a violation of rules, but they did not pay heed to our warning," said Authority's additional CEO Akhilesh Singh.
Singh also said they had been getting complaints from residents and RWAs. "We found owners running travel agency, property brokering firm, grocery store from their homes," he said.
"The violators have been asked to pay 5% penalty of the current sector rates for restoration of their plots," Singh said.
