PUNE: In a sign that consumer behaviour when it comes to purchasing real estate is undergoing rapid change, Pune-based startup Amura Technologies has helped real estate company Kolte Patil Developers sell over 250 apartments worth Rs 150 crore through online sales in 10 days.

Amura has worked with Kolte Patil to kick off theonline digital campaign of their home buying festival Nest Fest, showcasing inventory availability, 360 degree virtual tours, floor plans and site photographs etc to customers online, enabling them to make buying decisions.

"We are seeing that when all relevant information is uploaded online, and buyers are able to get a complete idea of what to expect, even premium homes worth 1.5 crore and above are being booked online. This also reflects the buyers' age, which has dropped down to 30 years today," said Sanjay Kalele, CEO of Kolte-Patil Developers Ltd. He added that lead generation for three duplexes worth Rs 10 crore each also happened online.

The organised real estate market will touch $140 billion by 2017 as per industry experts, and as internet and smart phone penetration increases, more customers from tier II and tier III cities too are expected to go online for their home purchases. "What we were able to provide was real time customer behaviour analytics, lead conversions and real-time sales assistance to customers, all of which increased the credibility of the digital experience. We were able to reach out to 15 lakh people every day across 25 cities in India and 80 countries worldwide," said Vikram Kotnis, founder of Amura Technologies.

The company plans to take forward this experience and build more digital tools for real estate. "Our target is to be an ecosystem for real estate builders, where using our tools even small builders can be digitally visible, find lead generation and build their brand online," said Kotnis.

Kolte Patil is too experimenting with the next level of tech marketing with a mobile app fest on the midnight of February 18, where the entire booking process would be on the mobile platform with apps for brokers and customers. BJP claims to cross 50,000 mark of party entrants in Valley.
