MUMBAI: The Mumbai Development Plan of 1991 was instrumental in bringing about key infrastructure projects for decongesting the city center and promoting a transit-oriented development pattern. Consequently, the city’s eastern suburbs of Chembur, Powai, Kanjurmarg, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Bhandup and Mulund had benefited immensely from these policy measures. Areas that had once been characterised by unorganised development and industrial zones, underwent a noticeable transformation.

MUMBAI: Mumbai is getting ready for yet another business district in an area that would be bigger than Bandra-Kurla Complex, which is home to a host of marquee names in business. Known as the GVK Skycity, the area surrounding the swanky new T2 terminal in Sahar and built by the GVK group's Mumbai Airport International Ltd (MIAL), will have 20 million sq ft of commercial space that will be bid out.
DLF puts Pune IT special economic zone on the block

MUMBAI/BANGALORE: DLF, India's biggest real estate developer, has put on the block the second phase of its under-construction IT special economic zone project in Pune'sHinjewadi for an anticipated Rs 250 crore, a move in line with the company's strategy to pare its debt by exiting non-core projects and businesses.
