Royal descendant Pratapsinhrao to make city permanent home

VADODARA: After having settled two-decade-old property dispute with his estranged cousin brother, royal scion Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad is set to make Vadodara his permanent home. Pratapsinhrao's father Sangramsinh had settled in Mumbai in 1970s and used to operate Baroda Rayon from there. Sangramsinh kept visiting Vadodara on occasions and was always in contact with his family and friends here. While Pratapsinhrao, too, grew up in Mumbai, he has decided to return to his roots.

Home loans decrease by 55%

AHMEDABAD: The slowdown in real estate and overall economic slump has led to a record shortfall in demand for home loans last year. According to the latest report by state-level bankers' committee (SLBC), fresh loans worth Rs 1,375 crore have been granted to 18,510 beneficiaries during the third quarter September-December last year, a decrease of 55% from the same period in 2012.
Plot owners to challenge HSIIDC property rules

DELHI: Plot owners in Udyog Vihar have renewed their efforts to get the state to impose a revision on the controversial property norms of the industrial area. The local association on October 23 lashed out at the industry authority HSIIDC, calling the latter’s demand for a special fee for transfer or leasing of plots illegitimate.
