Calcutta: Real estate companies Siddha Group and Eden Realty today said that they had cleared the decks for the two components of the Bonhooghly Tenement Housing project being developed in partnership with the Bengal government on 18 acres.
The first component involves the rebuilding of the dilapidated Bonhooghly Tenement that was declared unfit for living in 1998 by the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority. It will have 800 flats to be delivered to the state government for the rehabilitation of families within 24 months from October.
The second component, unveiled today, is a premium condominium off BT Road named Siddha Eden Lakeville. It is slated to have 1,800 high-income group (HIG) flats. The project will be built across 26.56 lakh square feet. Floor space in the apartments will range between 910 square feet and 2010 square feet with an offer price of Rs 4,250 per square feet.
“Eden and Siddha have joined hands for this important unique project. From December last year, the progress has been fast. We are supposed to deliver this in 24 months beginning right after Puja this year. It has reached a stage where construction can happen. We expect to deliver much before that.”
“On the other hand, with Siddha Eden Lakeville, all modern amenities will be in place by 2018,” said Sanjay Jain, managing director of Siddha.
