NAGPUR: No permission will be required from now for non-agricultural use of land situated in areas covered by the Development Plan prepared and published in accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act, 1966.

In case of land leased by the government, a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the collector will be necessary along with payment of nazarana and other government dues. The person to whom the NOC is granted must inform the tehsildar within 30 days.

The assembly on Tuesday approved amid pandemonium the amendment to the Land Revenue Code to introduce a new section to allow the reforms.
