JAIPUR: The urban development and housing (UDH) department on Tuesday revoked the permission granted to the luxury multi-storied apartment project 'Palacia' situated near Statue Circle to construct the building up to 30 metre height.

The previous Congress government on July 26, 2013 had permitted the height of the building beyond 15 metre, up to 30 metre, after considering the location of the plot on Prithviraj Road. Now, the developer will be forced to limit the height of the building up to 15 metre.

A 15 metre high building can have five storeys only.

The state government also withdrew all the setback relaxations provided to the developer. The order reads, "Allowing relaxation in the setback and condoning delay in presenting proposals for EWS /LIG houses allowing continuation of construction of EWS /LIG houses without formal approvals are hereby withdrawn with immediate effect."
