AJMER: The Ajmer Municipal Corporation seized three illegal complexes in the city. The corporation had previously prepared a list of 40 unauthorized complexes in the city but had been delaying any action. The corporation had warned complex owners to follow construction laws.

In last one year the district administration remained busy in meetings and plans to make Ajmer a smart city. During this time unauthorized complexes mushroomed in different parts of the city. Sources said that the municipal corporation had prepared a list of such complexes but was unable to initiate any action.

Newly appointed chief executive officer H Guite prepared the list again and on Wednesday morning, with the help of police force, seized three complexes. The team went to Ramnagar Colony and seized five illegally constructed shops on the road and pasted notices for the owner. The owner had constructed these shops without the corporation's permission.

The team went to Purani Mandi, a densely populated area of the city, where they seized the commercial complex of one Amit Jain. The corporation had passed a residential map with a ground floor but the owner constructed two floors and shops in the front.

The team also seized a complex in Hathibhata. The notices pasted on all the complexes stated that the municipal corporation had taken over these complexes and sealed the premises. If the owner carries out any activity or breaks the lock, an FIR against him will be lodged.
